The terms you meet in escort ads — GFE, PSE, dinner date, duo, high class — describe what someone offers, never what you’re entitled to as a client. GFE is a booking with the tone of a date; PSE is more explicit; a dinner date is a longer booking with company built in. One rule up front, and it applies to every term below: services are agreed, never assumed. An abbreviation in an ad is an offer, not a menu that paying gives you a claim on.

What does GFE mean?

GFE stands for girlfriend experience: a booking that feels like a date rather than a transaction. Think attention, conversation, unhurried intimacy — the tone of two people who like each other, not of a service delivered against a stopwatch.

It’s the most-used term on Dutch platforms, and for that reason the most diluted. GFE says something about mood and pace, not about a fixed list of acts. And PSE — what is that?

PSE stands for pornstar experience: more explicit and intense in tone and pace than GFE, modelled on porn films. Where GFE leans on closeness, PSE leans on intensity.

What it involves varies a great deal from person to person and is always discussed beforehand. The term is not a promise and not a standard package; it signals a register, nothing more. Ask politely at booking what someone does and doesn’t include under it — that’s not an awkward question, it’s exactly how it should go.

What is a dinner date, and what is a duo?

A dinner date is a booking where part of the time — sometimes the whole appointment — is spent on company: dining together, drinks, going out, public company. It’s longer and more expensive than an hour of incall, because you’re also paying for the time at the table. Dinner dates often sit in the higher segment and usually need more planning and screening in advance.

A duo is a booking with two sex workers at once. Two things matter here: there’s a separate price arrangement (not simply twice the hourly rate), and each person has their own boundaries. Booking a duo does not mean the two people’s boundaries merge into one package — you agree with both, or through whoever arranges the booking.

What do overnight and travel companion mean?

An overnight is a booking for a full night; a travel companion joins you on a trip, from a weekend to several days. Both are long bookings, and the pricing works differently from an hour.

Don’t expect hourly rate times the number of hours. Long bookings use day or night rates, and travel, accommodation and meals are added on top. Just as important: an overnight or trip includes company and rest — sleeping, breakfast, simply being together. It is not non-stop service, and anyone expecting that has misread the nature of this kind of booking.

Is incall or outcall a service or a place?

Both, but in ads they function as a choice of service type. With incall you go to the sex worker; that’s the base rate. With outcall the sex worker comes to you or your hotel, usually with a €30 to €80 surcharge for travel time.

Are BDSM and fetish a separate category?

Yes. BDSM and fetish are not an “extra” on a normal booking but a service of their own, with their own negotiation: hard limits, safewords and a scene agreed in advance are part of it. Some workers offer only this (a pro-domme or domina), others not at all.

Treat it, then, as a separate booking, not a request you spring halfway through an appointment. In this segment especially, precision in advance is the safety itself — for both sides. Being vague about it (“doesn’t matter, we’ll see”) takes a risk that has no place in this category.

What exactly is ‘high class’?

High class is a market segment, not a seal of approval. It points to the more expensive end of the market — roughly from €250 to €400 an hour and up — often through agencies, with screening and longer bookings such as dinner dates.

How do these terms map to price?

Roughly, they climb from bare to elaborate. A standard hour of incall is the base rate; GFE usually sits at or a little above it; a dinner date and the high-class segment sit higher; an overnight or trip is the most expensive form, because you’re buying time, company and often travel in one.

What gives away a trustworthy ad?

Concreteness. An ad that clearly states what’s included and what isn’t, with which boundaries and at what rate, is more trustworthy than one that only stacks abbreviations. My view: precision is a quality signal. A plain listing that names its boundaries deserves more trust than an ad full of “anything goes” and “no limits” — because a real professional names boundaries; “no limits” is either marketing or an unsafe signal.

So learn the terms to ask clearly, but never trust the label over the conversation.
