What is Intimate?

Intimate.nl is an adult advertising platform for the Netherlands and Belgium, launched recently and still in early access at the time of review — the site itself calls it a “new platform, in full development”. The model matches Kinky’s: advertisers place ads, visitors contact them directly. Intimate does not broker appointments and says so explicitly in its footer: it is an advertising platform, not an escort agency, and appointments are made directly with advertisers.

The scope is broader than escort alone. The platform has three main categories (women, men, LGBT) with subcategories for escort, BDSM, massage, sugaring and virtual services, plus business profiles for clubs and studios, an events calendar, a marketplace for products, a forum and “Spaces” — a social timeline where verified profiles post updates. Inclusivity is a stated core value: LGBT is a first-class category of its own, not an afterthought — a real difference for a substantial group of visitors that most Dutch platforms treat as a niche.

How good is verification?

The best we have seen on a Dutch platform: a 10. Verification at Intimate is not optional but mandatory for every advertiser, and the procedure is publicly documented in full. Advertisers submit four photos: (1) an ID document showing the photo, date of birth, validity and document number — with the platform actively instructing advertisers to mask everything else, including the Dutch citizen service number (BSN), using the government’s official KopieID tool; (2) a selfie holding the ID next to their face; (3) proof of current presence in the Netherlands or Belgium (a local newspaper or receipt no older than one week); and (4) an unedited full photo. The minimum age is 21, above the legal minimum. The moderation team reviews each application manually; only after approval does a verification badge appear and can ads be published.

Two things stand out. First, this setup structurally excludes the fake-profile fraud that demonstrably plagues open competitors: no verified identity, no ad. Second, the privacy side is genuinely thought through — a platform that teaches advertisers to mask their BSN before uploading takes data protection more seriously than this sector is used to.

How is the mobile experience?

Excellent: a 9. Intimate is built as a modern, mobile-first product: the site scales cleanly, and there is an installable app for Apple and Android delivered through the browser — app stores ban adult content, a constraint shared by every competitor. Navigation, search with extensive filters and the Spaces timeline all work smoothly on a phone. The only thing between it and a 10: some sections load their content after first render, which produces a brief empty state on slow connections.

How fast is the site?

The fastest platform we tested: a 10. During our review, pages loaded near-instantly, without the heavy ad blocks and interstitial screens that slow the established platforms down. The site names speed as a core principle — “built with speed and ease of use first” — and it is not an empty claim: deeper pages such as categories, documentation and city pages responded without noticeable delay in our tests. Being young and carrying little legacy weight helps — but fast is fast.

How transparent is pricing?

Strong: a 9. Listings on Intimate use structured fields for services and rates, and the extensive filter system lets visitors pre-select on services offered, accepted clients and whether an advertiser works independently. Marketplace products show their price directly in the overview. Because every advertiser is verified, an advertised rate is also far more likely to come from a real person than on open platforms. What keeps it from a 10: the inventory is still too small to give a representative market picture per city, and not every listing fills in all rate fields equally completely.

How good is moderation?

Good, with a young track record: an 8. Every ad passes human review by definition through the verification procedure, the team actively monitors the community, and reports are handled under published profile rules. There is a reachable helpdesk via WhatsApp and phone (weekdays 9:00–17:00) — a service channel most competitors simply do not offer. So why not a 9 or 10? Moderation proves itself under pressure, and at current volume that pressure has barely arrived. Kinky’s moderation problems became visible at hundreds of thousands of visitors per month; how Intimate performs at that scale, time will have to tell. That is not a criticism — it is a fact.

What languages does Intimate support?

Strong for a Dutch platform: a 9. The site is Dutch-first with a built-in translation layer (Weglot) and a language switcher in the navigation, making the interface usable for non-Dutch speakers. Smarter still: visitors can filter listings by the languages an advertiser actually speaks — Dutch, English, German, Spanish and Russian. Machine translation remains a notch below hand-written multilingual content, hence no 10.

How big is the inventory?

The weak point, and it gets an honest score: a 4. Intimate is in early access and the number of listings at the time of review is still small — in most cities we are talking about a handful of profiles, not the hundreds you find on Kinky. City pages for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Groningen, Tilburg and Breda, plus Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels in Belgium, are in place, but much of the filling-in is yet to come. If you want maximum choice today, you are better served by Kinky.nl — it is that simple. Mandatory verification deliberately slows growth: every profile that arrives is real, but they arrive more slowly.

Who is Intimate best for?

Intimate is the right choice if you want certainty that the person behind a profile is real, of age (21+) and actually present in the Netherlands or Belgium — and will accept a smaller selection in exchange. It is also a strong pick for non-Dutch speakers (language filters, translated interface) and for LGBT visitors, who get a full category of their own rather than a leftover bucket. Advertisers willing to go through verification get an environment free of fake competition in return. If you mainly want a wide choice, or are searching in a city where Intimate has no coverage yet, start elsewhere.
