Sexjobs.nl is, in raw numbers, the largest erotic marketplace in the Netherlands: research by investigative outlets Investico and Pointer counted an average of 14,371 advertisers per day, more than three times Kinky.nl’s 4,459. The trade-off: identity checks happen only on suspicion, the design is visibly desktop-era, and the interface is almost entirely Dutch — hence our overall 5.7, built from a 10 for inventory and fives and sixes for everything else.

Disclosure up front: best-escorts.nl is run by the team behind Intimate.nl, a competitor of Sexjobs. This review therefore follows our published methodology strictly, with checkable scores per criterion — and Sexjobs gets full credit where it earns it: the country’s largest inventory, nearly a quarter century of continuity, and a breadth of categories no competitor matches.

What is Sexjobs.nl?

Sexjobs.nl has existed since 2002 and is a classifieds marketplace for the whole erotic sector: escorts, private receiving (“privéontvangst” — home-based services), massage, events and erotic products all sit side by side. The model is the same as Kinky’s and Intimate’s — advertisers post listings, visitors contact them directly, the platform does not broker appointments.

What sets Sexjobs apart is the entry barrier: there barely is one. According to public-information site Sekswerk.info, an ad can be posted for free; paying buys more visibility. That free-entry model is the engine behind the enormous inventory.

It is also the key to this entire review. Our opinion, reason attached: the free-posting model explains the whole scorecard. It produced the largest catalogue in the Netherlands — and it is the direct cause of the fives on every trust criterion, because a platform that checks nobody up front can promise you nothing about who you’re contacting.

How good is the verification?

Thin: a 5. Per Sekswerk.info, you don’t have to upload an ID to advertise on Sexjobs unless the platform suspects you are too young — verification on suspicion, not by default. Part of the advertiser base is demonstrably real and has been active for years, but structural up-front checking is absent.

The consequences are those of any open marketplace, and they are documented. Pointer counted over 700 misleading sex ads across Kinky and Sexjobs in February 2022, tied to 394 phone numbers flagged for fraud or extortion. Sexjobs itself called the practices undesirable and, after publication, removed all nine ads from the named party, Wolfpack Entertainment, and banned the advertiser — decent, but it happened only after journalists exposed the problem. Complaint sites show the same pattern at the time of this review: reports of fake advertisers defrauding visitors, often via ads posted outside office hours.

How is the mobile experience?

Dated: a 5. Sexjobs works on a phone, but the design was visibly built for the desktop era and adapted afterwards. Small tap targets, dense text columns, navigation that turns laborious on a small screen. There is no app — app-store rules bar the whole sector — but even in the browser, Sexjobs feels like the least modern of the three major platforms. Functional, yes. Pleasant, no.

How fast is the site?

Middling: a 5. At the time of this review, our test setup was shown a Cloudflare bot-verification screen before the site loaded — the same pattern as Kinky, and it delays the first load noticeably. Beyond that, measurements stay mid-pack: pages carry many ads and images at once. Acceptable on wifi, slow on mobile data.

How transparent is the pricing?

Its best non-inventory score: a 6. Many Sexjobs listings state a rate, and thanks to the sheer volume you get a feel for going prices per category and region faster than anywhere else. But nothing is required or checked: there is no enforced rate field and no guarantee the advertised price is the price at the door. Confirming details before you book remains your job.

How good is the moderation?

Hard to see: a 5. Sexjobs removes listings after substantiated reports — the aftermath of the Pointer investigation proved that — but the moderation policy itself is less public and less testable than we would like. What happens to a report, how fast, under which rules: it isn’t clearly stated. And on a platform with over fourteen thousand daily advertisers, reactive moderation is by definition mopping with the tap open as long as the front door stays unchecked.

Which languages does Sexjobs support?

The lowest score in our test: a 4. The interface is almost entirely Dutch, and so is the vast majority of listings. For tourists and expats — precisely in the cities where the inventory is largest — that means machine translation and missed nuance in service descriptions and conditions. Some advertisers write in English on their own initiative, but the platform does nothing to help.

If you don’t read Dutch, this is the practical dealbreaker, whatever the inventory number says.

How large is the inventory?

No Dutch platform comes close, Kinky included. In small towns and niche categories, Sexjobs is often the only place still listing anything. That deserves full credit, as does the longevity: nearly a quarter century of uninterrupted operation in a sector where platforms usually vanish fast.

Who is Sexjobs best for?

People who want maximum choice and are willing to do their own screening — in practice, Dutch speakers. If you know the warning signs of fake listings, the country’s largest catalogue is yours to fish in, especially in regions and categories where other platforms list nothing. The flip side stays attached: you perform the checks the platform doesn’t, on a site that feels slow and dated, and without Dutch you won’t get far.

Screening yourself means, in practice: never pay in advance, certainly not via gift cards, crypto or payment links; distrust rates far below the market; and report suspicious listings to the platform. The same rules as everywhere, but on Sexjobs they aren’t an extra layer — they are your only safety net.

For advertisers the trade-off mirrors itself: the largest audience in the Netherlands and free entry, but you compete with over fourteen thousand others per day — fake profiles included.

What are the alternatives?

Kinky.nl is the most direct competitor: smaller in numbers but the better-known brand, with a slightly more modern product — and the same structural problem, since verification is optional there too. If certainty matters more than volume, look at Intimate, where every advertiser passes a mandatory identity check and the interface actually works in English; the honest caveat is that its inventory is still a fraction of Sexjobs’.
