Boys4u.nl is the Netherlands’ dedicated platform for male sex workers — Sekswerk.info, the Dutch public-information site for the industry, lists it as the site for men seeking male clients — and it scores 5.7 in our test. The build-up of that score matters more than the average: strong numbers for pricing transparency and languages, features the big hetero marketplaces don’t have, a failing grade for inventory, and one thing to know before you start: contacting anyone costs money, €24.95 minimum.

This review deliberately widens our coverage. Our ranking has so far revolved around the big three — Kinky, Sexjobs, Intimate — which serve an almost entirely heterosexual market. Male sex workers and their clients are a market of their own with platforms of their own, and if that’s where you’re searching, a Kinky review tells you little. Boys4u has been the fixture in that segment for over twenty years; Rotterdam field research on male sex workers (Pays*x 010, 2024) names it among the places they advertise.

What is Boys4u.nl?

Boys4u describes itself as “the most serious EU based gay escort advertisement website since 2002”, carrying gay, bi and trans escort profiles. The domain is older still — registered in May 2001, per the WHOIS data Scamadviser surfaces. The site runs bilingually in Dutch and English and belongs to a small network: Girls4u for female escorts, Shemale4u for trans listings, plus a sex shop and a webcam portal.

The model differs from the free marketplaces on both sides of the transaction. Sex workers post a free or paid ad, as elsewhere. But visitors pay too: browsing is free, while messaging, calling and viewing all photos require a “Full access” membership — at the time of this review €24.95 for 14 days, €34.95 for 30, €74.95 for 90 or €124.95 for 180.

Our opinion on that paywall, reason included: it’s the most honest trade-off in this review. A €24.95 threshold filters out casual scammers and time-wasters and funds features the free platforms never build — but you pay before you can judge whether the inventory near you is worth it. With a 4 for inventory, that’s not a theoretical objection.

How good is the verification?

A 6, the best score we’ve yet given a marketplace without mandatory checks. Profiles carry a verification level and, separately, an identity badge — the Amsterdam profile we tested with showed both, alongside four client reviews and an interview tab. That review system deserves its own mention: it’s a second safety net Kinky and Sexjobs don’t offer in this form, because a profile with genuine, older reviews is hard to fake.

Why not a 7 or 8? Because verification isn’t mandatory — joining is possible free and unchecked — and because the platform nowhere publicly explains what each verification level actually involves. How is the mobile experience?

A 5. The site works on a phone and the profile grid scales, but the technology is visibly from another era: URLs end in .cgi, the design is dense and small, and modern mobile patterns are absent. Functional, nothing more — it feels dated even next to Sexjobs.

How fast is the site?

A 6. In a normal browser, pages loaded briskly during our test; the same old-school, lightweight build pays off here, because very little gets loaded. One caveat: the site sits behind a strict Cloudflare configuration that flatly blocks some clients — our automated test tools got a 403 where a regular browser sailed through. No issue for the average visitor, but worth knowing if the site ever seems “down” for you.

How transparent is pricing?

The best score in this review: a 7. Boys4u has what we’d want on every platform: a structured rate field on the profile itself — “Hourly rate from EUR 200” on our test profile, a fixed field next to working hours and languages, not loose text. Membership prices are plainly published on the payment page too. Why not 8+: the field isn’t filled in by everyone, nobody checks whether the stated rate holds in person, and the paywall itself means you’ve spent €24.95 before sending a single message.

How good is the moderation?

A 5, mostly for lack of verifiability. There are positive signals: the review system leaves a public track record per profile, profiles show response rates and last-login dates, and Scamadviser rates the site legitimate. But we found no public moderation policy, and the “Safely meet” page — precisely where the platform should be warning visitors — failed to load at all during our test session. From a paid platform, you may expect better.

Which languages does Boys4u support?

A 7, the highest language score we’ve awarded so far. The interface is fully bilingual Dutch/English with a footer language toggle, and the site actually presents itself English-first (“EU based worldwide gay escort profiles”). Many profile texts are written in English, and spoken languages are a fixed profile field. For a visitor landing at Schiphol, this is the rare Dutch adult platform that works without a translation tool. German and French are missing; hence no 8.

How big is the inventory?

The failing grade of this review: a 4. The footer lists some 38 Dutch city pages, Alkmaar to Zwolle, but actual volume is modest: the online-now list held a few dozen profiles during our test, concentrated in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the wider Randstad. Set that against the fourteen-thousand-plus daily advertisers researchers counted on Sexjobs and the proportions are clear.

At the same time, this is the wrong criterion to condemn Boys4u on: within the male segment it is the largest dedicated inventory in the Netherlands, and at the big three that same niche is smaller still. A small platform — but the standard in its own market.

Who is Boys4u best for?

For men seeking male sex workers in the Netherlands, Boys4u is at the time of this review simply the most serious option — with reviews, rates and badges that make searching genuinely better than the gigolo corners of the general marketplaces. For sex workers in this segment the mirror applies: this is where their audience looks, joining is free, and a paid ad increases the chance of finding clients, per Sekswerk.info.

The caveats belong in the same breath: budget for the paywall before your first message, expect a dated product, and check badges and reviews per profile — verification is not mandatory. Trans sex workers advertise here relatively little, per Sekswerk.info; that market leans on the sister site and the general platforms.

What are the alternatives?

There is no truly comparable Dutch alternative. Kinky.nl and Sexjobs.nl carry gigolo and men categories with the familiar caveats: huge reach, but male listings are marginal there, verification is voluntary, and both are effectively Dutch-only. Within the verified model, a platform that identity-checks every profile before publication also carries male profiles — though honestly, that inventory is still small today.
