VerdictEscortNews Netherlands is an Amsterdam directory in practice: 551 of its roughly 860 Dutch listings sit in the capital. Verification stops at photos, The Hague appears twice in the city menu, and our test browser was repeatedly hijacked by ad redirects. Usable for pre-trip browsing; book only after independent checks.
EscortNews Netherlands listed about 860 ads at our count, 551 of them in Amsterdam — 64 percent of the entire country in one city. Verification stops at a staff photo check, the city menu lists The Hague twice under two names, and the whole package scores a 4.6 in our test.
Disclosure up front: best-escorts.nl is run by the team behind Intimate.nl, a competing Dutch platform. That is exactly why this review sticks to our published methodology: every criterion gets a score you can verify yourself, and the directory gets credit where it earns it.
What is EscortNews and who runs it?
EscortNews is an international directory network built on country subdomains; netherlands.escortnews.com is the Dutch branch. The owner is named in its own terms: Siteways International AG, registered at Schochenmühlestrasse 6 in Baar, Switzerland — carrying, curiously, a Dutch VAT number (NL856611256B01). The footer states the business plainly: “We ONLY sell advertisement space.”
The model is familiar — free and paid listings, with VIP and Premium slots for whoever buys visibility. The site also sells itself: the navigation is packed with cross-promotion for cam and hookup affiliates like Live Sex, Meet & Fuck and HookUp Now.
Our opinion, reason attached: the counters give the maintenance away. A directory that carries “Den Haag (14)” and “The Hague (3)” as two different cities, and credits Overloon — a Brabant village of a few thousand people — with 38 escorts, is not curating its Dutch data. The NL section is a by-product of a global template, not a maintained market.
How good is the verification?
Photos, not people: a 4. Verified profiles carry the banner “100% VERIFIED PHOTOS! All photos are genuine - approved and confirmed by staff”. That is exactly what it says and nothing more: staff confirm the photos are real. No document is examined, no identity established, no age verified in the sense the Dutch licensing system means it. A “100% verified” filter exists, which implies what you already suspect about everything outside it.
Credit where due, though: every profile displays a created date, a modified date and a “Last seen” timestamp, and a REPORT FAKE button sits on every page. That lets you judge freshness yourself — tooling some Dutch platforms do not even offer.
How is the mobile experience?
Hostile: a 4. The site functions on a phone, but during our test session the browser was repeatedly redirected without any click to third-party ad sites, including a rival escort directory. Pop-unders and tab hijacks are annoying on a desktop; on a phone they make browsing nearly unworkable. This was not a one-off — it happened several times in a single session.
How fast is the site?
Slow off the line: a 4. Every first load starts with a Cloudflare bot-check screen (“Just a moment…”), followed by heavy pages full of images and ad scripts. Add the redirects and the effective waiting time per page was the longest of any directory we have tested.
How transparent is the pricing?
Reasonable: a 6. Profiles can carry a proper rates table; the Amsterdam profile we examined listed €100 for half an hour, €150 per hour incall, €250 per hour outcall, up to €4,500 for 24 hours, plus priced extras. The limits: there is no price filter, not every profile fills the table in, and none of it is checked. You read what the advertiser wants you to read.
How good is the moderation?
The lowest score we have given any platform so far: a 3. The terms claim “all the advertised material is reviewed before publishing”, but the observable product contradicts the care that implies: duplicate city entries, a village with 38 ads, and profiles openly advertising unprotected services — something serious Dutch platforms strip out of listings. Read the terms to the end and you find advertisers granting a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence over all their listing content, photos included. For sex workers that is a reason not to advertise here; for visitors it is a signal of how the site regards the people it lists.
Which languages does EscortNews support?
Sixteen, including Dutch — on paper: a 7. The English interface is complete and genuinely usable, as are the major tourist languages, and for an international audience that is the site’s best feature. The Dutch version exists but is visibly machine-translated: the filter menu offers “PORNSTER” and “ZEFSTANDIG”, and the navigation reads like word salad. It works; nobody who reads Dutch would trust it.
How big is the Dutch inventory?
Small and lopsided: a 4. Around 860 ads for the whole country, against a measured daily average of 4,459 on Kinky.nl and 14,371 on Sexjobs.nl in the Investico/Pointer research. The distribution is more extreme than the total: 551 in Amsterdam, 49 in Rotterdam, 26 in Utrecht, 17 in The Hague (summing both spellings), and one or two in most other towns. Outside the Randstad the directory is effectively empty — except, apparently, in Overloon.
Who is EscortNews best for?
The English-speaking visitor sizing up the Amsterdam market before a trip, with a tolerance for aggressive advertising. The rate tables, view counters and last-seen timestamps genuinely help with that. Beyond Amsterdam its Dutch usefulness runs out fast, and everything listed has been checked at photo level at most.
Booking through it without your own checks is not something we would do. Reverse-image-search the photos, look up the phone number, never pay in advance, and use the REPORT FAKE button when something smells off — the full routine is in our guide to spotting fake escort profiles. If the same name shows up verified on a Dutch platform, you have a far better anchor than any photo badge.
What are the alternatives?
For anyone searching in the Netherlands, almost any Dutch platform is more complete. Sexjobs carries roughly sixteen times the inventory — with the honest flip side that its checking is mostly after the fact too. If you want profiles vetted before publication, that points to Intimate, the only major platform with a mandatory identity check and a full English interface; its inventory is still small, which belongs in the same sentence. All platform scores side by side are in our ranking of the best escort sites in the Netherlands, and the complete field in the overview of all escort sites. This review is a snapshot from August 2026; we retest quarterly.
Frequently asked questions
- Is EscortNews legit?
- The network is owned by Siteways International AG of Baar, Switzerland, and has operated for years — but its checking stops at photo verification: staff confirm the photos are genuine, not the advertiser's identity or age. Of the roughly 860 Dutch listings we counted, 64% sit in Amsterdam.
- What does '100% verified photos' on EscortNews mean?
- It means staff approved the photos as genuine and belonging to the profile. It is explicitly not an identity check: no document is reviewed, and unverified profiles are listed right alongside verified ones.
- How many escorts does EscortNews list in the Netherlands?
- About 860 at our August 2026 count, of which 551 were in Amsterdam. Rotterdam had 49, Utrecht 26 and The Hague 17 — split across two separate city entries, because 'Den Haag' and 'The Hague' appear in the menu as different cities.
- Are the prices on EscortNews accurate?
- Profiles can carry a full rates table — the one we examined listed €150 per hour incall and €250 outcall — but nothing is checked by the platform, and not every profile fills the table in. Confirm the rate directly before you meet.
