Escort sites with verified profiles: who actually checks? (2026)

Among the major Dutch escort platforms, Intimate is, as of August 2026, the only one that identity-checks every advertiser before an ad can go live; on Kinky.nl and Sexjobs.nl an advertiser only has to show ID if the site doubts they are of age, according to Sekswerk.info. “Verified profiles” is not a property of the Dutch market — it is one platform’s policy choice, which is why this page puts each site’s claim next to its actual check.

If you don’t read Dutch, this comparison matters twice over: the platforms’ own help pages are in Dutch, so the difference between “verified” and “we might check someday” is invisible unless someone translates it. Consider this that translation.

A solid third-party source, not first-hand documentation. We will update the table when that changes.

Intimate: mandatory for every ad

The strictest check in the table, and the only one that verifies identity documents. Anyone who wants to advertise on Intimate submits, per the published procedure, four photos: an identity document showing photo, date of birth, validity and document number — with instructions to mask everything else, including the citizen service number, using the Dutch government’s KopieID tool — plus a selfie holding that ID, proof of current residence in the Netherlands or Belgium no older than a week, and an unedited full-length photo. Minimum age: 21, above the legal minimum. A moderator reviews each application by hand; only then does anything go live.

On the documents themselves, the verification page is explicit, and we quote it directly: documents are “processed securely by an external party, fully in line with GDPR guidelines”, and “the photos are deleted after the check”.

Now the caveats, because they exist. You cannot watch the process from outside — the actual upload flow sits behind the login — and the external processor is not named, so the deletion promise cannot be audited. The platform is also young, with an inventory that is a fraction of the established players’; our own Intimate review scores it a 4 on that criterion. Mandatory verification slows growth. That is a choice, not a bug, but you should know it before you compare listings.

Kinky.nl: badges exist, but nobody has to

Kinky.nl offers verification badges that advertisers can earn to show they are real, and advises visitors to look out for them. Which quietly moves the work to you: the check is optional for the advertiser, and most profiles carry no badge. Per Sekswerk.info, an ID is only requested when the site doubts someone is of age.

The consequences are documented, not hypothetical. Investigative platform Pointer counted over 700 misleading sex ads across Kinky and Sexjobs in February 2022, and in September 2025 Dutch police arrested two men who had extorted hundreds of victims through fake profiles on Kinky. Sexjobs.nl: an ID only on suspicion

At Sexjobs.nl the picture is thinner still: per Sekswerk.info, an advertiser does not have to upload ID unless the platform suspects they are too young. Verification on suspicion, in other words, not by default — and with an average of 14,371 advertisers per day, that means in practice almost nobody is checked before publication. We could not find any public policy on what happens to an uploaded ID. Per-criterion scores are in our Sexjobs review.

What about international directories like Tryst?

One international name earns its own paragraph. Tryst — run by Assembly Four, a sex-worker-run company based in Melbourne — publishes no ad without mandatory photo verification and a manual human review, free tier included. That is stricter than anything the open Dutch marketplaces do, but it remains a photo check: no ID document is involved the way it is at Intimate, and we deduct for exactly that in our Tryst review.

The rest of the category looks the way the table summarises it: a photo-verification badge at best, policies that often only become readable once you hold an account, no findable document-deletion policy — and no awareness of the Dutch licensing context. What does a badge NOT prove?

Two things no verification covers, on any platform.

Photo accuracy, first: verification establishes that a real adult is behind the profile — not that the photos are recent or unedited. Availability, second: a badge says nothing about whether someone still works today, at this address, at this rate. Why mandatory verification is the only model that works

Our position, with the reasoning attached. With optional badges, a platform earns from every profile — including the fake ones — and moderation stays reactive: removal happens after journalists count or the police knock. Mandatory verification up front flips the incentive: the platform carries the cost of checking, instead of the visitor carrying the risk. It is the only setup in which sloppy checking costs the platform itself money.

The price of that model is stated above: a smaller inventory, slower growth. If you want maximum choice today, the open platforms serve you better — we say that just as plainly in our ranking of the best escort sites.

Your own five-minute cross-check

Whichever platform you pick, this routine takes five minutes and catches most of what matters:

1. Weigh the badge by platform. On Intimate, a mandatory document check preceded it; on Tryst, a mandatory photo check; on Kinky or Sexjobs, a badge is a plus, not a guarantee.
2. Reverse-search the photos with Google Lens or TinEye. If they surface under other names or cities, stop here.
3. Search the phone number. Numbers flagged on scam-report sites are an immediate stop sign.
4. Compare the rate to the market. Far below the going rate is rarely a bargain and usually bait.
5. Watch the payment moment. Anyone asking for money up front — gift cards, crypto, a payment link — is running a scam, badge or no badge. In the Netherlands you pay in cash, in person, at the start of the appointment.

That last check is the strongest of the five. Verification filters the front door; your routine guards the rest of the house.
